Buying a Secondhand HondaHonda is the second-largest carmaker in Japan and the sixth largest in the world. They are also the number one maker of motorcycles on the planet. In fact, the company started out making motorcycle and did not focus on automobiles until 1964. But when they did they had a number of successful offerings. Their first big hit was the Honda Civic, which has been produced continuously for nearly forty years. The car has won a number of coveted awards, including the car of the year award in Europe. The company holds the distinction of being one of the few Japanese carmakers to win the award. Honda also produces the popular Accord, which is one of the most popular saloon cars in Europe. Why buy a Honda? The company has consistently high scores in customer satisfaction and well-reviewed vehicles. The Accord and Civic in particular are prized for their durability and reliable construction. Unlike many lower quality Japanese imports, Hondas are low maintenance. You will rarely see used and second hand honda cars at an auto body shop unless they need an oil change. But because they are so reliable and can run for decades without a hitch, Hondas can be quite expensive to purchase in the secondhand market. Unlike the average car that loses half of its value in only three years, Hondas have excellent resale value. Dealerships are well aware of this fact, which is why buyers rarely get an attractive offer from a dealer. Therefore, we recommend that you search for an honest private seller. In a troubled economy, it is not at all uncommon to find desperate sellers who are willing to sell their cars well below their true value. |
