Let's face it, servicing your car every year is not cheap and it can be tempting to delay it by a few months or even skip having it serviced in an attempt to save money. The problem is that servicing is done for a good reason and there are parts of your car which has to be maintained and serviced on a scheduled basis so that they are in good working order.
Car batteries, tyres, oil, plugs and brakes should all be checked on a regular basis and by failing to do so, other more serious problems can occur with the car if it is left too long.
Failing to address any problems usually spotted in a regular service could cause permanent damage to the car which can end up costing far more than the price of a service.
Even worse, some of these, such as brakes, are essential from the safety aspect and if your car is not in safe working order it should not even be on the roads.
Compare the price of a service with what you could have to pay out if your car is involved in an accident through not keeping it well maintained? Every car owner, however much they have to count the pennies, has to take their responsibility seriously when it comes to safety.
